Karlskron

Karlskron is a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Neuburg -Schrobenhausen.

Geography

The community Karlskron lies in the planning region of Ingolstadt. It consists of the parts of the municipality Karlskron, Karlsruh, Joseph Castle, fruit home, Pobenhausen, Aschelsried, Adelhausen, Mändlfeld, Grillheim, Deubling, Bofzheim, Probfeld, Walding, Brautlach and Wintersoln.

History

Karlskron was founded in the late 18th century as the first colonists settlements in the Danube moss. The first houses were built from 1791 along the newly built Moosstraße Reichertshofen to Lichtenau. Based on the Elector Karl Theodor, the colony was named Karlskron. The Elector took on 26 May 1794 advancement of moss colonization personally in inspection, mentioned in a plaque at today's Town Hall recalls. This is the oldest building in Karlskron was first moss court, then the seat of the Hofmarksherrn Franz Seraph Grill 120 years ago, Convent of the Poor School Sisters and since 1973 the seat of the municipal administration.

Under a silver shield head, it actually has three green shamrocks, in a growing black, red reinforced golden lion holding a golden crown with his front paws.

The three shamrocks in chief symbolize agriculture than before important economic sector. The executed in the Palatinate colors golden lion in the black box was taken from the coat of arms of the Wittelsbach rulers in the form of reduced. The street village Karlskron arose in 1790 during the reign of Elector Karl Theodor through systematic cultivation of the Danube moss. Much of the first settlers came from the Rhine Palatinate. The place name Karlskron refers to Elector Karl Theodor, who promoted the settlement and agricultural use of the Danube moss. On his visit to Karlskron in 1794, a memorial plaque at the town hall. The crown in the paws of the lion speaks for the second part of the municipality name.
