Karoliina Lundahl

Satu Karoliina Lundahl (* June 30, 1968 in Helsinki as Karoliina Leppäluoto ) is a Finnish weightlifter.

Career

Karoliina grew up in Helsinki and began as a teenager in athletics ( shot put, discus ). They dealt for training purposes for these disciplines even with the weight lifting. As from 1987, for weight lifting and international competitions were advertised, they switched to this sport. She started for " Pyrinto " Oulu and had found in Jaakko Kailajärvi, a former Finnish world-class weightlifter an excellent coach. In 1990 she played her first international competition at the European Championships in Tenerife. In 1993 she married a former Finnish hammer thrower. Karoliina Lundahl stayed for training purposes often in Slovakia and trained there with Dusan Kovac. Later she lived for several years in California.

Her achievements were the victories at the World Championships in 1994 in Istanbul and 1998 in Lahti.
