Kenneth " Ken " Brown ( born February 16, 1934 in London ) is an English former football player and coach. As a player he won in 1964 with West Ham United FA Cup and a year later the European Cup Winners' Cup 1964 /65.

Playing career

After promotion to the Football League First Division in season 1957/58 to 1967 Bond played with his team in the English top flight. In 1964 he won with his team-mates Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst and John Bond the FA Cup with a 3-2 final victory over Preston North End. In the following year, West Ham the title in European Cup Winners' Cup 1964/65 secured by a 2-0 win over the German Cup winner 1860 Munich. In 1967 he followed his longtime teammate John Bond and moved to third division side Torquay United, where he spent two seasons.

Coaching career

Norwich City (1980-1987)

In 1970 he took over the post of assistant coach when trained by John Bond AFC Bournemouth and rose in 1971 to the third tier. After two years in this league, he moved on November 27, 1973 together with Bond for first division club Norwich City, where he spent the same position the next seven years. After the change of bond to Manchester City, he took over on 1 November 1980, the position of the head coach. However, the start did not succeed, but City 1980/81 rose at end of the season from the First Division in the second division from. In 1982, he reached with his team direct resurgence and secured 1982/83 in the league. In 1985 he rose to Norwich from the second time, but gained a 1-0 victory over the AFC Sunderland the League Cup. The return to the First Division 1986/87 succeeded the climber with the fifth place in the table excellent. After a false start in the subsequent season Ken Brown was released on November 9, 1987 after fourteen years in Norwich.

After a brief tenure at Shrewsbury Town, he moved on 6 July 1988 on the second division Plymouth Argyle. According to an eighteenth place in the first season he was sacked in the second half of the Second Division in 1989/90 on February 6, 1990.
