Kim Hirschovits

Kim Hirschovits ( born May 9, 1982 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since June 2013 at the Espoo Blues in the SM- liiga under contract.

Career

Kim Hirschovits began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of HIFK Helsinki for the first team, he made his debut in the SM- liiga in the 2000 /01 season. He remained point - and impunity in two games. In the following season, the Center continued in professional team HIFK in the SM- liiga through and increased to six goals and ten templates in 45 games. In the rest of the season, he also came to three inserts for Haukat in the subprime Mestis and ended the season finally at the North American Junior Team Chicago Steel, for which he scored two goals and assists in six games in the United States Hockey League.

In the sixth round as the 194th overall player selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 by the New York Rangers, for whom he never played, however. Instead, he returned to his native Finland, where he stood until 2006 for HIFK Helsinki of the SM - liiga in on the ice. In HIFK he could continuously increase during this period and developed into one of the leading players of his team. For the season 2006/ 07 moved within the SM- liiga Hirschovits to Jokerit Helsinki. There he was able to convince at first and was elected in September 2006 for the player of the month in the league. After another season with Jokerit Helsinki, Hirschovits returned once more to HIFK Helsinki. In May 2011 Hirschovits received a new contract with his hometown club HIFK Helsinki, for which he completed 30 games until January 2013, before moving to Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the KHL. With Torpedo he reached the KHL playoffs, scoring a total of 24 KHL games 12 points scorer.

In June 2012, Lulea HF of Hirschovits was signed up, but returned again in January 2013 in the KHL back when he was obliged by HK Dinamo Minsk. With Dinamo, he took part in the Nadezhda Cup 2013, because the club had missed the play-offs.

Since June 2013 he is with the Espoo Blues under contract.

Internationally

For Hirschovits Finland took part in the junior level only at the U20 World Youth Championship in 2002, where he won the bronze medal with his team. In the senior level, he stood in 2007, 2008 and 2009 in the squad of his country at the Euro Hockey Tour.
