Klaus Bachler

Klaus Bachler (born 27 July 1991 relating to Jews castle ) is an Austrian racing driver. He entered 2012 in the German Porsche Carrera Cup.

Career

After Bachler had started his motor racing career at the age of nine years in karting and for several years was active in the sport, he debuted in 2006 in Formula racing and was 14th in the Formula Lista junior. In 2007 he went to for Neuhauser Racing in Formula Lista Junior and won with five wins the championship. 2008 Bachler changed with Neuhauser Racing in the newly founded ADAC Formula Masters. He won two races in his debut season and was a total of six times on the podium. 2009 The Ballad denied his second season in the ADAC Formula Masters for URD racing. He decided this year for three races and finished a total of ten races among the top three drivers. In the championship, he was with 188 to 224 points behind runner-up Daniel Abt

2010 planned Bachler the change in the German Formula 3 Cup and was already at URD racing under contract. However, Bachler injured during testing that took place on the Hockenheim ring just before the season opener, heavy. He hit because of a brake failure at high speed into the barriers and broke his three vertebrae and a hock. At the season finale in Oschersleben Bachler finally returned to motorsport. With two fifth places, he finished 15th in the driver standings. 2011 remained at Bachler URD racing in the German Formula 3 Bachler scored two victories and seven podium finishes and ended the season in third place overall.

2012 moved Bachler in the GT sports. He was admitted to the funding of Porsche and approached the German Porsche Carrera Cup. For starting Tolimit Motorsport scored Bachler a podium with a third place ranking and finished his debut season in eighth place from. His teammate René Rast and Sean Edwards took the top two positions. In addition, Bachler participated in two rounds of the Porsche Supercup as a guest. 2013 remains Bachler in the Porsche development program and will go as a regular driver in the Porsche Supercup at the start.
