Klaus vom Bruch
Klaus vom Bruch ( born 1952 in Cologne) is a German media artist. He has worked since 1975 with video, first as a video tape, since the mid- 1980s, especially in installations.
Life
From the fraction studied from 1975 to 1976 Conceptual Art at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia with John Baldessari and 1976-1980 Philosophy at the University of Cologne. Together with Ulrike Rosenbach and Marcel Odenbach he made in the 1970s, the group of producers ATV. In 1986, he received the Dorothea von Stetten Art Prize. 1992 to 1998 he was appointed professor of media arts at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Karlsruhe. Since 1999 he has been a professor of media arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In 2000 he was a visiting professor at Columbia University in New York.
