Geography and transport

The community Klipphausen is approximately 11 km south of Meissen and about 15 km northwest of Dresden. The A4 runs through the south of the municipality and is the Wilsdruff connection (about 4 km). The municipality is located in Meissen highlands and the Elbe Valley to the boiler Linkselbischen valleys - including the Saubachtal, the Prinzbachtal, the Regenbachtal, the squirrel Ground and Rehbocktal - and the little Triebisch. On July 1, 1950 Sachsdorf is incorporated as a village in the rural community Klipphausen, on March 1, 1974 follows Sora with the districts Lampersdorf and Lotzen. Castle Batzdorf
