The node with peak location near Arborn in Hesse Lahn- Dill-Kreis and mountain parts in Oberrod in Rhineland-Palatinate Westerwald district is 605.4 m above sea level. NHN high mountains of the Westerwald and one of the highest mountains, this Hessian low mountain range.

Location
The node is at the southeastern edge of the High Westerwald. Its summit rises in Hesse 3.2 km south of Mademühlen, 3.2 km south-west of Munchausen (both to Driedorf ), 3 km west of the Oder Mountains, 3 km northwest of Nenderoth 1.5 km north-northwest of Arborn (all to Greifenstein only) 3.5 km north of the nucleus of the community Menger churches and 2.8 km (each distance) north-east of Rhineland-Palatinate local church Oberrod.
At the node, the Lahn- Kallenbach inflows originate in the southeast and Ulmbach in the northwest. Slightly south-southeast from the mountain springs of Kallenbach inflow Faulbach. West flows past Elbbach inflow of vice Bach.

History and Tourism
In former times the node was used primarily as grazing land for livestock of local farmers and shepherds. Today is a ski resort on the mountain with two groomed trails and a descent of 280 m length and a ski lift.
