Since 1989, Konecranes is also represented in Germany. The registered seat in the commercial register of the German Society is Langenhagen near Hannover. The management and administrative headquarters are located in Dreieich. Nationwide, about 1,000 employees working at 25 locations for Konecranes. Its customers include companies in the manufacturing and process industries, shipyards and ports and freight terminals.

Konecranes is listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange ( NASDAQ OMX Helsinki) (symbol: KCR1V ). In 2012 the company generated total revenue of 2.17 billion euros. Around 25 million euros were invested in the same year in research and development of products and services.

Service

With 626 service locations in 48 countries, Konecranes has the largest crane service network in the world and one of the largest international suppliers of machine tool service. The company provides solutions for maintenance and optimization of cranes, port equipment and machine tools of all manufacturers. Other services include inspections and preventive maintenance programs, repairs and improvements, repair service, replacement parts, upgrades, and special services such as operational services and consulting. About 25 percent of the 420,000 plants, which in 2013 stood at the beginning of the year under service contract, were also manufactured by Konecranes.

Equipment

Equipment division develops and builds Konecranes industrial and process cranes, workstation crane systems, harbor cranes, heavy duty trucks, hoists and components, including wire rope hoists, crane components and electric chain hoists. As the world's largest supplier of industrial cranes, the company offers cranes, components and material handling solutions for numerous industries, including the process - and heavy-duty industry, ports, intermodal terminals, shipyards and bulk material terminals.
