History

The city Königsee Rottenbach created on 31 December 2012 by the merger of the previously independent city Königsee with the community Rottenbach.

Traffic

Königsee - Rottenbach lies with the railway stations Rottenbach and Paulinzella on the railway line Arnstadt -Saalfeld. In the district Rottenbach Further branches off the Schwarzatal web. The railway line Köditz Mountain King 's Lake, however, is shut down.
