Konrad II the Gray

Conrad II of Oels (* 1338/1340, † June 10, 1403 in Trebnitzgrund ) was from 1366 until his death Duke of Oels and Cosel and from 1369 Duke of Bytom half. From 1394 he was Duke of half and from 1394 duke of all Steinau. He came to the Silesian Piast branch of Glogau.

Life

Conrad II parents were Conrad I of Oels († 1366) and his second wife Euphemia, daughter of Duke Władysław of Bytom - Cosel. In 1354 he married Agnes († 1371 ), daughter of Duke Casimir of Cieszyn I. The marriage came from the only son of Conrad III. († 1412/1413 ).

After the death of his father inherited the same name Konrad II, who had no other siblings, whose handsome possession. The guided by his father many years inheritance dispute over the inheritance of the Duke Bolesław of Bytom - Cosel, which was home like 1354/55 as a completed fief to the crown of Bohemia, was indeed already in 1355 to the effect resolved that Conrad I the Duchy Cosel was awarded.
