Kuzmice, Trebišov District

Kuzmice ( until 1927 slovak also " Kuznice "; Kozma Hungarian ) is a town in eastern Slovakia, with 1691 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). Administratively it belongs to the Okres Trebišov, kraj a circle of the parent Košice.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the eastern slope of the Slanské Hills, on both sides of the river Roňava, just after the confluence with the Terebla. Kuzmice is 17 kilometers from Trebišov and 36 km from Košice.

Administratively divided the community in community Parts Dancov Potok and Kuzmice.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1270 as Kozma writing and was probably founded in the early 13th century by a lower nobleman. The Farming place had in 1828 84 houses and 624 inhabitants.
