Kyle Howard Long ( born December 5, 1988 in Ivy, Virginia) is an American professional American football player at the position of the offensive guards. He plays since 2013 for the Chicago Bears in the National Football League ( NFL) and was elected to his first year in the Pro Bowl.

Career

Early years

While Kyle Long St. Anne's - Belfield School in Charlottesville, Virginia attended he played both American Football and baseball. In 2008 he was selected in the MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox in the 23rd round. However, he signed a contract and went on to Florida State University.

College Football

Long left the Florida State University in January 2009 for academic reasons. After his performances were bagged decided he and his family that it would be better if he can find a place that is closer to his home.

From 2010 he attended the Saddleback College and started playing as a defensive end. In his first season he reached 16 tackles and a sack.

After he was transferred in 2011 to the position of the offensive guards, he decided on 18 December for the Oregon Ducks, University of Oregon to play and moved to the College.

In the 2012 season, he raced in ten of the twelve season games. He asked the NCAA for permission to be allowed to play another year of college football, the NCAA rejected his request but from.

National Football League

Long was selected by the Chicago Bears as the 20th player in the first round of the NFL Drafts 2013. He was the first Guard since 1960, which the Bears selected in the first round.

2013
