Kylie (Album)

History

After Minogue in 1987 due to the success of the single Locomotion aka The Loco - Motion by Little Eva - number one in Australia - had received a recording contract with Mushroom Records, they flew with their label managers to London, where they met with the production team Stock Aitken Waterman. There I Should Be So Lucky was written, according to Mike floor while she was there and recorded in less than an hour. After the success of the song flew floor to Australia and convinced Minogue, einzusingen the rest of their debut album in London in spring 1988. Stock Aitken Waterman eventually took over the production of their debut album.

Success and criticism

Wrote Chris True of Allmusic, even if the tunes on Kylie are nothing but " standard late eighties Bubblegum ", but it was something like " endearing qualities " here, too, because she had more "personality" than her colleague Rick Astley. The rating was 2.5 out of five stars. The page Digital Spy awarded three stars out of five. The pieces were " expired" as the hair on the album cover, but the 80 - charm the panel finally put through. The album reached number one and seven-fold platinum in the UK and number two and five- platinum in her native Australia. In Germany it reached number eight and gold status in the U.S. space 53
