Rhythm of Love (Kylie Minogue album)

Rhythm of Love is the third studio album by Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue. It was released in November 1990.

History

The album was the first, which contained songs from Minogue has been written by. It was of Stock Aitken Waterman ( items 1-5, 7 and 9 ), Keith Cohen ( 8, 10 and 11), Stephen Bray (10 and 11) and produced Michael Jay ( 6). With the album, Minogue Image increasingly transformed from bubblegum pop toward a more contemporary dance-pop sound. Overall, more emphasis was placed on the production of a stronger album, instead of solely on strong singles. At that time, Minogue was friends with INXS singer Michael Hutchence, who influenced Minogue's conversion.

Success and criticism

Chris True of Allmusic called the plate Minogue's " best release of the Stock Aitken Waterman era." The songwriting is stronger, the production dynamic than its predecessors. The rating was three stars out of five. The page Digital Spy awarded four out of five stars. The album reached # 9 and Gold status in the UK and number ten in their homeland Australia.
