Laoshan Velodrome

The Laoshan Velodrome is a velodrome in Beijing. It was built for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games and the Paralympic Summer Games in 2008 as a sports venue for track cycling.

The Laoshan Velodrome is on comprehensive 32.920 square meters of land in Beijing's Shijingshan district. Construction work on the Velodrome began on 30 October 2004. The Velodrome is a steel frame and 133 x 180 meters. The three floors comprise a height of 33.80 meters. 6000 spectators for the 3000 additional seats were created, which are removed after the Olympics and Paralympics, refer to the building place. The wooden rail in the center of the building is 250 meters long. Above her is the dish-shaped roof structure. Multiple runs of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup was held here in the meantime. In addition to these major events, the Velodrome will be used primarily as a training venue.
