Laurentides

Laurentides is an administrative region (French région administrative ) in the southwest of the Canadian province of Quebec.

It is further into eight regional county municipalities ( municipalites Clarisse de comté ) and 88 municipalities, Reserves, and unincorporated areas divided. Office of the Administrator, Saint- Jérôme.

The population is 555 614 (2011), the land area of ​​20,559.9 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 27.0 inhabitants per km ². 95.4 % of residents speak French and 4.0% English as the main language.
