LaVive
LaVive was a four-piece German girl group that was put together in late 2010 in the ninth season of the talent show Popstars. She was the first Popstars group, whose members were selected solely by the audience rather than by the jury.

2010: Foundation in Popstars
Under the motto Girls forever the talent show Popstars went in the summer of 2010 in the ninth round. Since the format with girl groups could attain the greatest success, only young girls and 16-30 years, women were sought for the new band again. After a tour of Casting 16 German cities, in which the candidates were judged by music editors, found in June 2010, two open casting instead of the Popstars judges. The jury consisted of the choreographer Detlef Soost, the singer Marta Jandová and music producer Thomas M. Stein.
After casting was decided at the " Talent Check " who is allowed to participate in the workshop. On Talent Check attended 20 candidates who had been cast in Duisburg or Offenbach, and four candidates who were selected from an online casting. 20 made it into the workshop, which - as the talent check - took place in a loft in Munich. Here are the candidates from the Vocal Coach Aino Laos and from the dance coach Dion Davis were taught.
The following " Girls at Work " phase, in which the 13 remaining candidates had to apply for various music jobs, took place in Nashville. In the last week the last 11 Workshop candidates took with songwriter Gary Baker on the song I Swear, which was originally sung in 1994 by John Michael Montgomery. The single debuted at number 69 in the German single charts and remained there for one week.
The last ten candidates then moved into Cologne in the live shows. There, every week a member of the band was determined by the audience. In the first live broadcast also the band's name was announced, which was also chosen by an online vote between " Panter Loop", "Metro Chic " and " LaVive " from the audience. On December 10, 2010, a day after the last live show, the first single from LaVive appeared entitled No Time for Sleeping. After one week, the single was no longer represented in the Swiss charts. The album No Sleep followed on December 17, 2010.
On the evening of the last live show on 10 December 2010, the band had their first performance with a full line of TV total. In the first week after the finale, the band recorded the song A Magical World of Wonder in a German version for the soundtrack to the movie Winx Club 3D - Magical Adventure on.
2011: separation
19 February 2011 Rensing mentioned in an interview with the regional newspaper The bell that the contracts - which were closed with the 10 finalists of Popstars - expire in March 2011. IMAGE reported on 13 March 2011 that the band had dissolved. Sarah Rensing was in agreement with the record company Star Watch in an interview that there would be no second single and also no further performances are planned more. Future plans Rensing stated that Julia Köster want to make her high school, Katrin flour mountain is planning a study and it returns even in her job as a beautician and works to the sample at the Star - hairdresser Udo Walz. - Sarah Rensing (born 26 May 1988) from Ahlen, was on 18 November 2010, the first member of the band. - Meike Ehnert (born 23 October 1986) from Schwarzenbach an der Saale was the second member of the band. At the age of five, she wrote her first song. She plays among others Guitar, piano, cello and violin. When transmitting, X Factor, she was rejected in Vorcasting. Before they competed in Popstars, she worked as a babysitter.
- Julia Köster ( born December 24, 1992) from Oberhausen was the third member of the band. Prior to her victory at pop stars, she worked as a singer in several bands and a member of a choir. In addition, Koster plays guitar and piano. In December 2010, she appeared in an episode of scripted reality The school investigators.
- Katrin flour Berg ( born December 2, 1990) from Duisburg, was named in the final show on 9 December 2010 for the fourth band member. She plays guitar and flute.
