Lene Løseth

Lene Løseth (* November 26, 1986 in Ålesund ) is a Norwegian former alpine skier. She started in the disciplines of giant slalom and slalom and was until 2011 a member of the Norwegian National Ski Team. Her younger sisters Nina and Mona are also ski racer.

Career

In November 2001 Løseth denied her first FIS races, bets in the European Cup was followed in November 2002. Initial successes they celebrated in 2003, when they the silver medal in the giant slalom and the European Youth Olympic Festival won the gold medal in the slalom at the World Junior Championship. On December 12, 2004, she arrived at the slalom in Altenmarkt in the World Cup for the first time used. Her first World Cup points in January 2006, it reached 27th place in the slalom in Zagreb.

Over the years, Løseth could not establish in the World Cup. In most races they did not qualify for the second round. Your best results are two 20th places they achieved in the 2008 /09 season with the slalom in Semmering and in Garmisch -Partenkirchen. Successful it was in the European Cup, where they the giant slalom in Trysil celebrated her first victory on 26 November 2008 and came to the end of season second in the discipline standings. In the 2009/10 season, she won the giant slalom standings with their second victory in Crans -Montana and three other podium finishes. In Norwegian Championships she won from 2005 to 2008 a total of five titles.

Lene Løseth started in 2007 at the World Championships in Åre. She was doing 23 in the slalom and 38th in giant slalom. At the 2009 World Championships in Val d'Isere she reached the 19th place in the giant slalom. After they had remained in the season 2010/2011 with no World Cup points, Løseth was in February 2011 they were withdrawing from ski racing known.
