Levan Kobiaschwili (Georgian ლევან კობიაშვილი, English transcription Kobiashvili ) (* July 10, 1977 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian footballer who is currently under contract at Hertha BSC. Since June 2, 2007, he is most-capped player of Georgian national football team.
Career
SC Freiburg
Levan Kobiaschwili began his career at Awasa Tbilisi. About Metalurg Rustavi, Dynamo Tbilisi and Vladikavkaz Alanija he moved in the winter of 1998 for SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga 2, where he played under coach Volker Finke on the left wing. In its first six series in Germany the Georgians rose with his club on directly to the Bundesliga. During the summer break, the Georgian Players out on loan initially returned to Tbilisi, but was soon re- committed from SC, with whom he established himself in the Bundesliga. In 2001, he was even able to qualify his team for the UEFA Cup; SC Freiburg occupied by the 34th matchday 6th place in the league. In the 2001 /02 season, the Breisgauer but then again had to take the course in the second league. However, it was the direct promotion back to the 2002/03 season.
Schalke 04

In addition, he still completed six European Cup games ( one goal) for the SC Freiburg and games ( no goals ) for Hertha BSC, which he joined in January 2010.
Hertha BSC
Kobiaschwili had ( four inserts) played in the 2009/10 season at Schalke only at the beginning of the first round a role and left the Ruhr club for lack of perspective towards Berlin. He signed with the Hertha BSC a contract until June 30, 2010, which was extended in May 2010 to 30 June 2013. In the "old lady " Kobiaschwili was summoned as a left-back and wore the jersey number 3
After the Bundesliga Relegation return match against Fortuna Dusseldorf on 15 May 2012 Levan Kobiaschwili was accused by the DFB referee Wolfgang Stark to have this beaten after game. Stark filed a complaint against Kobiaschwili. The sports court sentenced the DFB Kobiaschwili, after he had stood the shock, on 4 June 2012 to a ban until 31 December 2012. This is the longest barrier, which was pronounced depending in German professional football against a player. Kobiaschwili accepted the punishment. He then vehemently denied an admission of guilt before the DFB court. In December 2012, he also agreed to a agreed with prosecutors Dusseldorf penalty order in the amount of 60,000 euros.

On October 11, 2011, he played in the European Championship qualifier against Greece his 100th game.
