Lipůvka

Lipůvka ( German Lipuwka ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers north of Kuřim and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Lipůvka located at the western foot of the Drahany country in the Bosko brázda. The village lies on a saddle between the valleys of Lažánka and Kuřimka. To the north rises the Společná hora ( 429 m), in the northeast of Bukovec ( 596 m ) east of the Dubový Kopec ( 533 m ) to the southeast and south Spálené skála the MANOVA ( 433 m). Through the village the main road leads I/43/E 461 from Brno to Cerna Hora, which intersects here with the road II/379 Tišnov to Blansko.

Neighboring towns are Lažany in the north, Blansko and Hořice in the northeast, Olešná and Svinošice in the east, Vranov, U Jelínka and Lelekovice the southeast, Podlesí and Kuřim in the south, Čebín and Malhostovice the southwest, Nuzířov in the west and Všechovice and Skalička in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Lipůvka place in the year 1371st Since the 17th century in the village a school detectable. East of the village a ärarische Erbpost in 1784 at the Imperial Road from Vienna to Brno to Prague furnished. The one and a half kilometers southwest sanctuary of St. Clement was torn down as part of the Josephine reforms in 1787. 1818 at the St. Cecilia Church of the construction of a new school building for a einklassigen lessons.

After the abolition of patrimonial Lipůvka formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Brno team. The post at Lipůvka was repealed in 1876. Since November 1, 1896 Svinošice belonged to the newly formed District Commission Tischnowitz. 1902 originated in the town of a new school building, was taught in the dreiklassig; it is now the nursery. In 1961, a new primary school was inaugurated. Since the 19th century the city experienced a strong expansion and grew eastward far beyond the old imperial road today I/43/E 461 addition. Since 1950, the community is part of the Okres Blansko. Lipůvka is a Catholic vicarage for Lažany Nuzířov and Svinošice.
