Liu Zhongqing

Liu Zhongqing (Chinese刘忠庆, Pinyin Liú Zhongqing; born November 10, 1985 in Daqing ) is a Chinese freestyle skis. He specializes in the discipline Aerials ( jumping).

Biography

Liu made ​​his World Cup debut on 15 February 2004 in Harbin, where it reached number 15. Nearly a year later, the first top- 10 ranking. At the Olympic Winter Games 2006, he jumped to 18th place in 2007, he could not qualify for the World Cup, but finished third at the Asian Winter Games in 2007 in Changchun.

January 30, 2009 Liu scored second place in Deer Valley for the first time a podium in the World Cup. Three weeks later he won the silver medal at the Winter Universiade in Yabuli. In the World Cup season 2009/10 he scored another podium finish. The biggest success of his sporting career he achieved at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games by winning the bronze medal. In the Asian Winter Games 2011 in Almaty, a silver medal was added. With three podium finishes, he finished in the 2011/12 season in third place in the aerials discipline standings.

The first World Cup win was Liu on December 15, 2013. With a total of two wins and one additional podium, he decided in the 2013/14 season, the Aerials - discipline rating for themselves. Disappointing, however, went for him the 2014 Winter Olympics, where he only finished in 21st place.
