Loukas Mavrokefalidis

Mavrokefalidis Loukas (Greek Λουκάς Μαυροκεφαλίδης, born July 25, 1984 in Jeseník, Czechoslovakia) is a Greek professional basketball player.

Career

His professional career began in 2001 Mavrokefalidis PAOK Thessaloniki, where he stood for a five -year contract. In 2006 he was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves at 57th place in the NBA draft. After working in Italy, where he first played with Virtus Roma in the ULEB Euro League, and Spain (Valencia BC ) 2007, he moved to Olympiakos Piraeus, where he stood with the exception of the 2008/ 2009 to 2011 under contract. With Piraeus Mavrokefalidis always reached the runner-up and won in 2010 and 2011, the Greek Cup competition. Between 2011 and 2013 he was with the Russian club Spartak Saint Petersburg under contract by which he played in the ULEB Eurocup. Since 2013 Mavrokefalidis plays for Greek club Panathinaikos Athens.

National

With the Greek national Mavrokefalidis won the 2006 Stanković Cup. With a junior he won the bronze or silver medal at the U19 - U21 or World Championships.
