Zackary Wright

Zackary Lamar " Zack " Wright ( born February 5, 1985 in Austin, Texas ) is a Bosnian - American professional basketball player. After completing his studies in his home country Wright was professional and first played from 2007 in the third-class ProB in Germany for the Spot Up Media Baskets from Braunschweig. In 2008 he moved into the first French LNB Pro A League, where he was able to establish and participated in the All- Star Game League 2008. With KK Cibona Zagreb in 2012 he won the Croatian championship. Since February 2014 Wright plays for the Greek champions Panathinaikos Athens.


Although he finished his college career in the Division II, Wright tried in 2007 as a professional and signed in the newly formed ProB, which had replaced the next ProA as a third class, the second basketball league, a contract with SUM Baskets Braunschweig. Here he could fully convince and was named player of the year this league selected. He subsequently transferred to the first French league to Chalon -sur -Saône. End of December 2008 he was appointed promptly in the selection of the best foreigners the French league at the All -Star Game and led at the end of the season the league with the most wins ball per game. In the season 2009/10 he moved to league rivals and French Cup winner MSB Le Mans. Before start of the season would retire in qualifying for the highest European League ULEB Euro League against the German representatives Alba Berlin. 2012 Wright played for Bosnia and Herzegovina in qualifying for the European Basketball Championship, which takes place in Slovenia in 2013. He established himself in the team and was at 14.6 points per game, and convince 7 rebounds per game. He also led the entire qualification with 7.4 assists per game. Wright was considered an important key player and an excellent all-rounder in the Bosnian team, which has qualified first in their group for the final round.
