Luc Chatel

Luc Chatel ( born August 15, 1964 in Bethesda, Maryland, USA ) is a French politician of the UMP.

Life

Chatel studied at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon- Sorbonne. From 2002 to 2007 he was a member of the French National Assembly. Since 2008, Chatel Mayor of Chaumont in Haute- Marne. From 2009 to 2012, he was the successor of Darcos in the Second and Third Cabinet of François Fillon Education Minister at the French Ministry of Education, Youth and the Voluntary Sector. Since 19 November 2012, he is Vice Chairman ( Vice - président délégué ) of the UMP under the party leader Jean- Francois Cope
