Lugano Tigers

The Lugano Tigers are a Swiss basketball club based in Lugano in the Swiss canton of Ticino. The successful men's team plays in the A- series of the top domestic league championship national basketball league.

History

The club was founded under the name FV Lugano in 1981 as a fusion of club Federale Lugano and Viganello basket, which had been very successful in the 1970s and together the four Swiss championships and five cup wins Swiss had won. In the first year succeeded in 1982 another Cup victory. Then were other songs profits.
