Lying triceps extensions

As a French press exercise is referred to in the motor sport. The implementation is carried out with the SZ- dumbbell ( Curlhantel ) or as a variant with dumbbells on a weight bench lying. Other names for the exercise are, inter alia, Lying tricep extensions, skull crusher, Nosebreaker and forehead Press.

Loaded muscles

The French Press all three heads of the triceps loaded in the upper arm.

Execution

  • The SZ- dumbbell bar is in the upper grip tightly gripped ( in the exercise execution shows the back of the hand to the face ).
  • On his back the rod is lifted over the head so that it is slightly tilted backwards and the triceps muscle is loaded.
  • Slowly, the rod is now lowered toward the end of the elbow
  • After the dumbbell is again slowly moved back into the starting position.

To prevent swayback in the implementation, the feet can be placed on the flat bench. However, this requires a little more sense of balance as when parking the feet on the ground.

Variants

The exercise can also be performed with dumbbells.

Alternatively, the exercise can also be performed standing up. while the weight is in the starting position above your head.
