Lynn Whitfield

Lynn Whitfield ( born May 6, 1953 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, native Lynn Butler -Smith ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

Born as Lynn Butler -Smith African American woman, daughter of a dentist, a university education at Howard University. She was for the theater group Black Repertory Company in Washington, DC employed and their co-founder Van Whitfield she married in 1974. After her television debut in 1981 in the television series Hill Street Blues and a few minor roles, she took over in 1991, the main role of Josephine Baker in the made-for- television biopic Josephine (alternatively.
