Maldives at the 2004 Summer Olympics

The Maldives were represented with participation in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens for the fifth time in the Olympic Games. The first appearance was in 1988; No medals have been won yet. Flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the Athlete Sultan Saeed, who was also the oldest Maldivian participants at age 28. The youngest member of the four athletes (2 women and 2 men ) existing teams was the barely four -year-old swimmer Aminath Rouya Hussain. All four participants dropped out in the first round.
