Malé Březno (Ústí nad Labem District)

Malé Březno ( German Klein Priesen ) is a municipality on the right bank of the Elbe between Ústí nad Labem and Decin. It lies at the mouth of Cross creek coming from Auscha ( Luční Brook ) into the Elbe. The municipality belongs to the Okres Ústí nad Labem, Usti nad Labem Region in and has 523 inhabitants.

The place is located at the Museum Březno - Zubrnice.

History

That probably built around 900 village in the form of a Slavic the winder was heavily damaged during the Thirty Years' War. The place was still a farming village. Only with the construction of the Austrian Northwestern Railway and the branching Lokalbahn Great - Billed Wernstadt - Auscha the place enlarged significantly and the population doubled. Male Brezno nad Labem was during the time of the Habsburg monarchy part of the judicial district or the district Aussig Aussig. Before the Second World War, there were 782 inhabitants.

Beginning of 2014 it was announced that the abandoned village Vitin, which is located in the municipality Malé Březnos, to be sold by the Czech state for 405,000 Czech crowns.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Malé Březno Leština ( Leschtine ) and Malé Březno (small Priesen ). Basic settlement units are Leština, Malé Březno and Vitin ( Wittine ).

The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Leština u Malého Březná, Malé Brezno nad Labem and Vitin u Malého Březná.
