Malik Fathi
Malik Fathi ( born October 29, 1983 in Berlin ) is a German footballer (defender). He is the son of a Turkish-born father and a German mother.
The 1.85 m wide left-back is the first FSV Mainz 05 under contract.
Career
Association
He began his career at Hertha Zehlendorf Berlin Fathi and Tennis Borussia Berlin. He then played for nearly seven years for Hertha BSC, where he made his debut in the Bundesliga on 1 November 2003 against VfL Wolfsburg. In the 75th minute, the then coach Huub Stevens joined him for Andreas Schmidt. During the rest of the season he came regularly to further operations. Making his first appearance in the starting lineup had the defensive player game seven days after its debut, on 31 January 2004 against Werder Bremen. From then on, he was among the first eleven of Berlin. Over the next four years, Fathi was set to the position of left-back. His best finish with Hertha he reached for the season 2004/ 05, when they finished fourth in the Bundesliga. On his first league goal he had to wait until the 2006/07 season. In the 2:4 defeat against FC Bayern Munich defender shortened the time between 1:3 per head.
In March 2008, Fathi moved surprisingly to Spartak in the Russian Premjer League. One reason for this transfer was that Hertha coach Lucien Favre Ground surrounded by four - to three-man Fathi and thus no longer needed as a left-back. Previously, he was still standing on 23 match day, March 7, 2008 against Borussia Dortmund over the full season on the court. In the Premjer league Fathi gave shortly after the 0-0 draw against then- champions Zenit St. Petersburg his debut.
1 February 2010, Fathi was loaned to the end of the season 2009/10 1 to the Bundesliga FSV Mainz 05, after again for the season season 2010/11. For the 2011/12 season Fathi finally signed a contract for three years with Mainz 05
For the 2012/13 season Fathi was for one year and awarded a rental fee in the amount of 200,000 Euros at Kayserispor. Kayserispor also had an option to purchase in the amount of 600,000 euros. During the winter break of 2012/13 he was given until end of season at TSV 1860 Munich, for which he was used in all 15 remaining games of the season.
National
