Marcell Jansen ( * November 4, 1985 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German football player who has a contract with Hamburger SV Bundesliga side since the 2008/ 09 season. On the left side it can be used both as a full-back, defensive midfield and as an attacking left winger.

Career

Borussia Mönchengladbach

From Mönchengladbach SV 1910 Marcell Jansen moved in 1993 to the youth department of Borussia VfL 1900 Mönchengladbach and went through all the youth teams. His first Bundesliga game he graduated in December 2004 on 16 Gameday at the 0:6 defeat in the away match against Hertha BSC. During the winter break of the season 2004/ 05 Dick Advocaat then signed him in the first team of Borussia Mönchengladbach.
