Sven Neuhaus ( 2006)

Sven Neuhaus ( born April 4, 1978 in Essen) is a German football goalkeeper who currently has a contract with Hamburger SV in the German Bundesliga.

Career

Neuhaus began his career in 1983 with Borussia Byfang and moved in 1990 to Schwarz-Weiß Essen and went in 1994 in the youth division of Fortuna Dusseldorf. In 2001 he moved to the second division side SpVgg Greuther Fürth.

In Fürth, he played 56 second division games in the next five years and was only in the 2003/ 04 goalkeeper. In 2006 he moved to FC Augsburg, where he was the first goalkeeper to the obligation of Simon Jentzsch to the 2009/10 season. Then he agreed with the club to terminate the contract and signed a two -year contract with option to extend the Oberliga side RB Leipzig.

The contract, which was dated to 30 June 2011 was not extended by RB Leipzig.

On 25 August 2011, the Hamburger SV announced the commitment of Neuhaus. Neuhaus signed a one -year contract until 30 June 2012., He was engaged as "Training Goalkeeper " to complement the goalkeeper training to Jaroslav Drobný and Tom Mickel. Occasionally he received assignments in test matches in the second team in the fourth division Regionalliga Nord. After Mickel beginning of the second half broke the hand, Neuhaus took place as a goalkeeper on the bench. On April 21, 2012, the 32nd matchday of the 2011/12 season, Neuhaus came at the age of 34 years to his Bundesliga debut when he in the away match against 1.FC Nürnberg (1:1) in 23 minutes came in to replace the injured Jaroslav Drobný. On May 22, 2012 will be the end of season expiring contract was extended for one year until 30 June 2013. Towards the end of the 2012/13 season, in Neuhaus mostly the gate of the U -23 was careful and had thus contributed significantly to the league, his contract was extended until 30 June 2014.
