Niki Dige Zimling ( born April 19, 1985 in Tårnby ) is a Danish football player who is under contract at 05 1 FSV Mainz since January 2013.
Career
Clubs
Zimling began playing football at Fremad Amager, before he came to the youth department of Brøndby IF on stations in Tårnby BK Amager Boldklub af 1970 and KB Copenhagen. There he began his professional career in 2003. He was the champion and cup winner 2005 with the club. However, he was only a substitute this season. For the new season, he moved to Esbjerg fB. With Esbjerg reached Zimling again in 2006 the cup final, which they lost 0-1 after extra time against second division side Randers FC. The following season Zimling scored ten goals in 30 league games in the next season with Esbjerg he reached the cup final ( 2:3 against Brøndby).
In January 2009, joined the Italian first division Zimling Udinese Calcio. However, he could not prevail there. In the summer of 2010, awarded to the Dutch first division club NEC Nijmegen. There, the defensive midfielder came in 26 games for use, scoring four goals. Nijmegen he left after one season and was Udinese Calcio for the season 2011/12 the Belgian first division side FC Bruges transferred. Zimling accompanied his teammate Nijmegen Björn Vleminckx, top scorer in the Eredivisie 2010/11, to Belgium. In Bruges, he received a four-year contract. In his first season he came in the championship on 29 missions in the play -off round on five missions. Here he managed a goal. In the battle for the championship but you had to RSC Anderlecht to defer. In the Europa League Zimling came with Bruges to the Round of where you eliminated 96 against Hannover. In the season 2012/13 Zimling came in seven games for use, in which he scored a goal until the winter break.
During the winter break of the season 2012/13 Zimling moved to the Bundesliga and signed for 1 FSV Mainz 05 valid until 30 June 2017 contract.
National
Zimling came for several Danish junior national teams used and participated with the Danish under-21 national team at the U -21 Football Championship in 2006.
His first cap for the national team of Denmark made Zimling on 6 February 2008 in a 2-1 victory against Slovenia in Nova Gorica. In that international match he came on in the 65th minute for Daniel Jensen. After more than two years break Niki Zimling made on 17 November 2010 his second international match when he came on in Aarhus in the 1-1 draw against the Czech Republic in the 69th minute for Christian Poulsen. Zimling took part in the European Championship finals in 2012 and played in all group matches against the Netherlands, Portugal and against Germany.
