Maltese Government 2008–13

The Cabinet Lawrence Gonzi II was on 12 March 2008 to 11 March 2013, the current government of the Republic of Malta.

Prologue

After the parliamentary elections in Malta, Lawrence Gonzi in 2008 was confirmed as prime minister and sworn in for the 11th legislature. The new cabinet consisted of only eight ministers, four less than in the Cabinet Lawrence Gonzi I.

Cabinet reshuffles

  • On 10 February 2010, the previous Parliamentary Secretary for Health at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Joe Cassar Minister for Health, the Elderly and Care (Minister for Health, the Elderly and Community Care ) was after John Dalli had become the new Commissioner of Health of the EU. The Office of the Parliamentary Secretary has not yet been filled.
