Marble Falls is a city in Burnet County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States.

Geography

The city is situated on the Colorado River in the central southeast Texas, at the junction of U.S. Highway 281 to the Farm Road 1431, 20 miles south-east of Burnet and about 60 km northeast of Austin and has a total area of 17.4 km ², of which 1, 5 km ² water surface.

Demographic data

According to the census of 2000, there were 4,959 people in 1,931 households and 1,266 families. The population density was 311.8 inhabitants per km ². The racial the population was composed of 85.80 % White, 2.48 % African American, 0.40 % Native American, 0.42 % Asian, 0.02 % Pacific Islander residents from the and 8.87 % from other ethnic groups. Approximately 2.00% were of mixed descent, and 22.54 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
