Marburg Mercenaries

The Marburg Mercenaries are an American Football Club ( AFV ) from the Hessian Marburg.

History

The AFV Mercenaries was founded in 1991 and has since played from the fifth division Hesse ( 5 league) within a few years up to the 2nd Bundesliga Süd ago. In the relegation victories against the Munich Cowboys, the rise in the German Football League ( GFL ) South: 2002 succeeded the Mercenaries ( German mercenaries ). The AFV Mercenaries plays its home games at the most about 12,000 seater Georg- Gassmann -Stadion in Marburg Ockershausen in the south. In addition to the GFL team the Mercenaries also have a successful youth team that competes in the GFL Juniors middle. Furthermore, there is a Cheerleader department with teams in three age groups, the Marburg Mascots.

Lacrosse - Marburg Saints

From 2005 to the end of 2008, founded in 2004 Lacrosse Club Marburg Saints was a department of the Mercenaries. The Saints came in the fall of 2004, from the Departments of the Universities of Marburg and Giessen. The team was relegated in 2005 to the Lacrosse League ( WDLL ), where she plays since then.
