Márcia Narloch

Márcia Narloch ( born March 18, 1969 in Joinville ) is a Brazilian long distance runner who specializes in the marathon.

In 1990, she won the 25km from Berlin in 1:27:20 h and put the active current national record. In the same year she was second in the Hamburg- and fifth at the Berlin Marathon. In 1991 they were each second in the Los Angeles Marathon and the Twin Cities Marathon, and at the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, she took the 17th place.

In 1993 she was fourth at the New York City Marathon, and in 1996 she qualified as Eleventh Boston Marathon for the Olympic Games in Atlanta, where she arrived on the 39th place. In 2003, she posed as the Sixth Hamburg Marathon with 2:29:59 h their personal record and won gold at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo. In her third Olympic marathon in Athens in 2004 did not reach the goal. In 2006, she was fifth at the Berlin Marathon, and in 2007 she won the silver medal at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro.

1998 and 2000 she was Brazilian champion in the 10,000 meter race, and three times (1999, 2000 and 2005 ), she won the Sao Paulo Marathon.

Márcia Narloch is 1.53 meters tall, weighs 42 kg and lives in Rio de Janeiro.
