Marco Reda

Marco Reda ( born June 22, 1977 in Woodbridge ) is a Canadian soccer player.

Club career

Youth and College

Reda joined at the age of six years at the local club Woodbridge SC, for whom he played until he was 18. He subsequently played for some time at the Malton Bullets, in which at the time also played Paul Stalteri. 1996 and 1997 Reda played at Winthrop University for the Winthrop Eagles in the NCAA Division I, the highest college league.

First professional year and time in Europe, 1998-2006

After his college days, he signed a professional contract in 1998 with the USL A- League club Toronto Lynx. While he was summoned in his first season only five times, he established himself in the following seasons in the central defense and lynx was in 1999 for their captain.
