Marcos Martínez

Marcos Martínez Ucha (born 15 October 1985 in Madrid ) is a Spanish racing driver.

Career

Martínez began his career in 1998 in karting and in 2002 in the Spanish Formula Junior, in which he was active until 2004. His best finish in the overall standings was eighth place in season 2004. 2005 Martínez moved into the B-Class, the Spanish Formula 3 and was starting for Racing Engineering runner-up in this series. Then Martínez 2006 went for Racing Engineering in the Spanish Formula 3 at the start and finished tenth in the standings. He also ran six races in Formula Renault 3.5.

Martínez started the 2007 season at the Novo team in the Spanish Formula 3 After ten races Martínez joined Racing Engineering in GP2 series. After failing to qualify on his first race weekend, he played eight races in the GP2 series. With a fourth place finish at his home race in Valencia as the best finish, he finished at the end of season 22 place in the drivers' standings. 2008 Martínez returned to the Formula Renault 3.5 and was for Pons Racing starting 15th in the overall standings. He also took part in two races in the Spanish Formula 3, of which he won a race. 2009 remained Martínez in Formula Renault 3.5 and started again for Pons Racing. Although only the later champion Bertrand Baguette scored more victories than Martínez, he finished at the end of the season only the seventh overall.

2010 moved Martínez in the Superleague Formula, in which he drove for assisted by DeVillota.com Motorsport team Sevilla FC. He scored a victory. In addition, he planned another season in the Formula Renault 3.5 to go to the start and he had already signed a contract for the 2010 season with SG Formula. However, SG Formula pulled back a week before the season from the Formula Renault 3.5. In 2011, Martínez for Pons Racing on a race weekend of the Formula Renault 3.5 part.
