Mariem Alaoui Selsouli

Mariemont Alaoui Selsouli (Arabic مريم علوي سلسولي; born July 8, 1984 in Marrakech ) is a Moroccan middle and long distance runner.

In 2001 she won the Moroccan championships over 3000 m. In 2002, she became Junior Vice World champion in the 3000 m. The Moroccan Cup over 1500 meters, she won in 2005. At the World Cross Country Championships she finished on the short-haul 2004 in Brussels, 45th and 2005 in Saint- Galmier place 22, 2006, she was at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Moscow Sixth, came in the short distance race in the world Cross Country Championships in Fukuoka on the 15th place and was at the track and Africa Championships in Bambous fifth over 5000 meters. The following year she ran at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Mombasa to 17th place and won with the Moroccan team bronze. In 2009, she was disqualified at the World Championships in Berlin after the semifinal over 1500 m, when it became known that erythropoietin (EPO) had been found in a doping test, which had previously been issued three weeks. The athlete has been banned because of this breach of the Doping Rules for three years.
