Mario Kasun

Marion Kasun ( born April 5, 1980 in Vinkovci, SR Croatia) is a Croatian professional basketball player.

Playing career

Marion Kasun is Croatian national team and assumes the position of the center. He started late at the age of 14 years with the basketball. Whether its size and talent, he has already played over 17 years in the 2nd Croatian league club based in Velika Gorica. The following year he signed with Erstligateam KK Zagreb Zrinjevac a contract until 2007. Enshrined in this treaty transfer fee handicapped him when he moved into the American College Football NCAA. In the high school team Bulldogs of Gonzaga University, he did not make even the entrance test for foreign students. He participated in any competitive match. Even his later team Rhein Energie Cologne could not agree with Zagreb on the transfer fee, so that he came to no single use in the BBL in the 2001/2002 season. The following year, he moved to the Opel Skyliners Frankfurt, with whom he won the 2004 German Championship.

In 2002, he was selected in the NBA Draft in a total 41 out of the Los Angeles Clippers, who passed on the rights to him immediately to the Orlando Magic. For the season 2004/2005 he was awarded a contract in Orlando. He came there never on the role of a supplementary player out, so he accepted an offer from AXA FC Barcelona. In 2007, he won the Spanish Cup competition with this team. From 2008 to 2010 Kasun played for the Turkish giants Efes Pilsen Istanbul to return from the 2010/11 season back home to Zagreb at KK Zagabria. After two seasons, he moved in 2012 to the Italian series champion Montepaschi Siena.
