Marius OnofraÈ™

Marius Daniel Onofraş ( born August 17, 1980 in Iaşi ) is a Romanian football player. The striker played a total of 261 games in the highest Romanian football league, Liga 1, and is available at CSMS Iaşi since August 2011 under contract.

Career

The career of Marius Onofraş began in 1998 at Politehnica Iaşi in his hometown in Divizia B. In the season 1999/ 2000 he was first-team regular. In 2000 he undertook the first division side FC Braşov. After initial difficulties in the season 2000 /01 he was in the 2001/ 02 season for a regular player, but did not emerged as the top scorer. In the following season he missed with his club in fourth place to qualify for the UEFA Cup.

After four years Onofraş left in 2004 and returned to Braşov his hometown club Politehnica Iaşi back, who had just ascended to the Divizia A. With his new team, he could twice in the middle of the League place, before he moved to league rivals Unirea Urziceni in the winter break of the season 2006/ 07. Again, he was at first team regular. After a fifth place at the end of the following season and the associated qualification for the UEFA Cup, he won the championship in 2009 his first title, where he achieved his best average of goals with eight goals. In the 2009/10 season the club came in the group stage of the Champions League in and was able to VfB Stuttgart and FC Sevilla and Rangers as a third party move into the Europa League. In the domestic league, he secured his team with eight goals, the runner-up behind CFR Cluj in the Champions League qualification resigned from the club, however.

In September 2010 Onofraş joined the Romanian giants Steaua Bucharest, came in the first round of 2010/11 but only on a bet. At the end of the season he won the Romanian Cup. In the summer of 2011, left the club again already and joined the Azerbaijani club FK Xəzər Lənkəran. In August 2011, he returned to the second division CSMS Iasi Romania. With his new club, he rose at the end of the season 2011/12 in the League 1.
