Martín Rodríguez (tennis)

Martín Rodríguez ( born December 18, 1969 in Córdoba ) is a former Argentine tennis player.

Life

Rodríguez was established in 1991 and first played professional tennis player on the ATP Challenger Tour. On this he won during his career 11 titles in doubles and another in singles. On the ATP World Tour, he won six doubles titles, four of them with his compatriot Gastón Etlis. Its highest listing in the tennis world ranking he reached in 1999 with position 71 in single and in 2004 with position 15 in doubles.

His best individual result at Grand Slam tournaments, was the second-round participation at the French Open in 1999. At the Australian Open he could reach the semi-finals in each of two consecutive years. By Gastón Etlis he was defeated in 2003 against Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor, a year later both were subject to the eventual winner Michaël Llodra and Fabrice Santoro.

Rodríguez graduated 2000, a double batch of the Argentine Davis Cup team. In the Americas Zone Group I met Argentina in the first round in Canada. Rodríguez and his partner Martín García lost to Daniel Nestor and Sébastien Lareau clear in three sets, the match went total lost with 1:4. Etlis occurred at times in Summer Olympics for Argentina. At the Olympic Games in 2004, he joined together with Etlis to double and defeated in the second round later Goldmedaillisten Nicolás Massu and Fernando Gonzalez.
