Mathias Florén

Mathias Florén ( born August 11, 1976 in Söderhamn) is a Swedish football player. The defender and midfielder, who played for several years in the Netherlands, ran twice in 2001 on the Swedish national team.

Career

Career start in Sweden and national

Florén played in youth at Marma IF. For the club he made his debut as a five- year-old in 1991 in Division V. In two seasons, he was in 43 games on 19 goals and was therefore obliged by the third division Alnö IF 1993. Here he remained for two years and graduated in 1995 the second division GIF Sundsvall.

After nine goals were succeeded him in the second division in the 1996, Florén changed in the following season in the Allsvenskan for IFK Norrköping. Again, he was able to establish itself as a regular force and missed for the seasons 1998, 1999 and 2000, no season game.

Then Florén was appointed in the spring of 2001 in the national team. On the side of Teddy Lucic, Daniel Mobaeck and Jari Ilola he missed only two of the 30 season games and reached the club to the runner-up behind Kalmar FF. He also pulled in the summer with the team on a UEFA Intertoto Cup in the UEFA Cup in 2008/ 09, but failed with the team right away at Irish club St Patrick's Athletic. In the following season Florén was a regular force, he moved again to the club in third place in the European Cup. In the UEFA Europa League 2009/10, he missed the team against Lazio in the play- off matches to reach the group phase, while the end of the 2010 season with the club at the side of Denni Avdić, Daniel Mobaeck and Martin Ericsson in fourth place went to.

In early 2011 returned Florén back to IFK Norrköping. When Erstligaaufsteiger he signed a three -year contract in December 2010.
