Matt Lindland

Matt James Lindland ( born May 17, 1970 in Oregon City, Oregon ) is a former American professional wrestler and mixed martial arts fighter.

Career

Wrestler

Matt Lindland started at Clackamas Community College with the rings. Also at the Nebraska State University, where the moved to his college days, he sat the sport continued very successfully. He was active here in two styles, Greco-Roman style and free style. He was in 1992 American University Master in free style. From 1994 started for the Sunkist Kids in Phoenix, one of the most prestigious U.S. Ringer clubs. From 1995 he specialized more on the Greco-Roman style and was a member of the national team. In 1997 Matt started in Wroclaw for the first time at a World Cup. He finished a disappointing there for him 17th place in the welterweight division. His first MMA fights contested Lindland in 1997, inter alia, for IFC. In December 2000 he appeared for the first time in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he played until in August 2005, twelve fights.
