Matt Tegenkamp

Matthew " Matt" Tegenkamp ( born January 19, 1982 in Lee 's Summit ) is an American long distance runner.

In 2001 he was U.S. junior champion in cross country and was named Junior race in the IAAF World Cross Country Championships fifth.

2006, 2007 and 2008, he was U.S. vice- champion in 5000 -meter run. In 2007 he was national indoor champion in the 3,000 -meter run, presented with 8:07,07 min a U.S. record over two miles ( 3218 meters ) and was fourth at the 5000 m World Athletics Championships in Osaka.

In 2008, he defended his U.S. Title hall over 3000 meters and came at the Olympic Games in Beijing over 5000 m to 13th place.

In 2009 he was over 5000 m U.S. champion and eighth at the World Championships in Berlin.

Tegenkamp is 1,85 m tall and weighs 66 kg. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin study of human ecology. Since October 2006 he is married. He lives in Portland ( Oregon), coached by Jerry Schumacher and starts for the Oregon Track Club.
