Meindert van Buuren

Meindert van Buuren junior (born 5 January 1995) is a Dutch racing driver. It starts in 2013 in the Auto GP.

Career

Van Buuren began his motorsport career in karting in 2004, where he remained active until 2012. In 2011 he debuted also in Formula racing. For Van Amersfoort Racing, he competed in the North European Formula Renault and was 21st in the driver standings. In addition, he completed four events of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. 2012 moved to van Buuren Manor MP Motorsport and remained active in both series. In the Northern European Formula Renault he reached with a third place as best result eleventh place in the drivers' standings, while his teammate Jordan King was runner-up. In the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup he did not participate in an event and reached the 32th place overall.

2013 remained van Buuren at Manor MP Motorsport and moved to the Auto GP. In the race at Mugello, he came in first place to the finish. After the race, but he was punished with a time penalty because he had run over the white line at the pit exit after the pit stop. He fell back to tenth place. After the fourth race weekend, he finished tenth overall.
