Melchior Wathelet

Melchior Wathelet Melchior Wathelet or (Senior ) (born 6 March 1949 in Petit- Rechain ) is a Belgian politician cdH.

He has degrees in Law and Economics ( University of Liège ) and a Master of Laws ( Harvard University). Of 19 September 1995 to 6 October 2003, he was a judge at the European Court of Justice. It was in 1992 through the application of Lejeune Act of 1888 responsible for the release of Marc Dutroux and Michelle Martin. In 2012 he was Advocate General at the European Court.
