Michael Lenihan

Michael Lenihan, OFM ( born September 22, 1951 in Abbeyfeale ) is an Irish priest and bishop of La Ceiba in Honduras.

Life

Michael Lenihan joined the Congregation of the Franciscan ( OFM) in 1972, put his solemn profession on 17 September 1977, received on 12 July 1980, the ordination. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on February 30, 2011 as Bishop of La Ceiba.

He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of Tegucigalpa, Cardinal Óscar Andrés Rodríguez Maradiaga SDB, on February 11 of next year; Were co-consecrators Luigi Bianco, Apostolic Nuncio in Honduras, and Angel Pérez Garachana CMF, Bishop of San Pedro Sula.
